Northern Territory

Northern Territory

Given the size and vastness of the state, we recommend that you fly into the Red Centre, then fly out or time permitting take the train north to Darwin and Kakadu. There are many luxury hotels at the Red Centre to enjoy the Rock at sunrise and sunset, and to dine under the stars. Visiting and staying at Kakadu and the ‘Top End’ is usually more ‘Safari in Style’, and it is a great way to experience the natural beauty.

Sails in the Desert★★★★

Pool and Rooms

Part of the Voyages Ayers Rock Resort, their premier hotel, Sails in the Desert is close to Uluru with distinctive white sails that give it its’ name. The Resort features spacious rooms, 3 fine-dining restaurants and the Mulgara Gallery, displaying local Aboriginal art.

Wildman Wilderness Lodge★★★★

Amidst the wilderness of Australia’s breathtaking Top End, in the Mary River Wetlands and close to Kakadu, the Lodge is a nature-based, conservation aware travel experience. Wildman is ideal for those seeking a high quality retreat from which to enjoy a variety of touring options.

El Questro Wilderness Park ★★★★

Emma Gorge

El Questro is located in the Kimberleys, over the border in WA, one of the world’s last unspoilt frontiers, 1.7 times the size of the UK! Its landscape offers incredible diversity, from rugged sandstone ranges and broad tidal flats, to rainforests and waterfalls. A visit will be something you will never forget!
